Ili from her friend Karen - hiking while pregnant and hanging sheetrock

When Ili was pregnant with Brianna, there was a hike in Frederick to the Gambrill Watershed Park. Dan, Bill, Ili and I parked the car and hiked to the top. We took frequent rests with Ili in her delicate condition. (She didn't claim that status, but the O'Brien brothers were very attentative to her care) It was a great fall weekend afternoon. We had dinner after the hike and Dan and Ili made their way back to Ellicott City. After they had left I got a stern rebuke and told that I had taken them too far and that if anything happened, that Bill would forever hold me responsible. Luckily there was no negative impact to either mother or child.

I remember the Christmas events on Little Christmas with her mother and sisters and Banning including the Christmas where the basement was habitated while the new house was under construction. I remember the move to the new house and helping to hang sheetrock in the upstair bedroom that was in the O'Brien's future. Ili was always so proud of Danny's construction projects.

I will remember Ili as a strong quiet presence and force and it is so hard to believe she is has moved on.
